18 U.S.C. § 2257 Record-Keeping Acknowledgment
Effective date: 2026-04-15
1. Purpose
18 U.S.C. § 2257 and its implementing regulations (28 C.F.R. Part 75) require producers of certain visual depictions of actual sexually explicit conduct to create and maintain records verifying that every performer depicted was at least 18 years old at the time of production.
2. Your Role
By distributing content through StepSisters you confirm that you are a "producer" within the meaning of the statute for content you upload, and that you have obtained and retain (a) a legally accurate document evidencing the full legal name and date of birth of every performer; (b) any stage name or alias used by the performer; and (c) the date of production for each depiction.
3. Platform Records
StepSisters also collects — via Stripe Identity — proof of identity and age for every creator account. A sha256 hash of the government-issued identification number, the type of document, issuance and expiration dates, and a reference to the verification report are stored securely for a minimum of 7 years after the later of (a) the date of last content upload, or (b) the date of account closure.
4. Designated Custodian
The designated records custodian for content distributed via StepSisters is the Compliance Officer at [email protected]. On-site inspection per 28 C.F.R. § 75.5 is available by appointment at our registered address, available on request.
5. Your Acknowledgment
By signing this acknowledgment you confirm that: (a) you understand your independent obligations under 18 U.S.C. § 2257; (b) all performers in content you upload were 18 or older at the time of production; (c) you retain complete records for each performer and each date of production; (d) you will cooperate promptly with any records request.
